Terms

The terms, in plain words.

What you agree to when you run a session, and what we agree to in return.

Last updated 14 September 2026

Using PlaPer

PlaPer lets you run live activities that a room joins from their own phones. Anyone can join a session with a code. Running sessions needs an account.

  • You need to be 18 or over to create an account.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Give a real email address, so a password reset can reach you.

Your content stays yours

The questions you write, the documents you upload and the reports you save belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you, and that permission ends when you delete them or your account.

Only upload documents you have the right to use. A textbook you teach from is usually fine for your own sessions. Sharing a whole book with people who have not bought it is not.

Questions written by AI

When you ask for questions to be written from a topic or a document, they are a first draft. They can be wrong, and a wrong answer key on a projector teaches the wrong thing to everyone at once.

Every generated question lands in your deck for you to read before anyone joins. Read them. You are responsible for what you show a room.

What you must not do

  • Put anything unlawful, hateful, sexual or harassing in front of a room, or allow it to be uploaded and approved.
  • Use a session to collect personal details from the people in it.
  • Try to get into another person’s account, session or reports.
  • Attack, overload, scrape or probe the service, or try to guess session codes.
  • Resell access to PlaPer without our written agreement.

Running a room

You are responsible for the sessions you run. Photos people upload are held back until you approve them, and approving one is your decision. If you run sessions with people under 18, do so within your institution’s rules.

The beta, and what it costs

  • PlaPer is in beta and is free while that lasts. Features will change, and some rough edges will be found before they are fixed.
  • If we start charging for running sessions, we will tell account holders by email before it happens. Nothing you have already saved will be locked away.
  • Joining a session is free, permanently.
  • A session that is running will never be stopped because of a plan limit.

Availability

We work to keep PlaPer running, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable, particularly during the beta. Keep a copy of anything you cannot do without: reports can be exported.

Suspending accounts

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk. Where we can, we will say why and give you a chance to respond first.

Liability

PlaPer is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or lost income arising from using it. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Leaving

You can stop using PlaPer at any time. Write to hello@plaper.in from the address on your account and we will delete the account and everything in it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

Changes to these terms

If these change in a way that affects you, we will email account holders before the change takes effect, and the date at the top will change with it.
